I work with people on a wide range of issues including:

Although people come into therapy around a crisis or specific issue, my usual goal is to help people use their abilities to the fullest in order to improve their lives, not merely to solve a specific ‘problem’ or reduce symptoms.

About my approach to therapy:

I use a health or growth model of psychotherapy. People have many more strengths and resources than they use. Therapy can facilitate change in dysfunctional habits of thinking, feeling, and behavior. It also helps to remove emotional impediments to more effective action.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to facilitate self-exploration and understanding, and encourage growth and healthy choices. I support my clients to set appropriate boundaries in their personal lives. I also help clients become more aware of their dysfunctional habits or patterns of thinking or acting. Then they can learn to challenge and modify these patterns.
